September 16, 2008 - Carroll Publishing, the nation's leader in federal,
state and local government contact information for over 35 years, today announced the largest ever redesign
of their proprietary GovSearch line of products, capping a two-year programming effort.
Key improvements include:
- complete reformatting of Dynamic Organization Charts for ease of internal navigation, both vertically and horizontally;
- Carroll's latest content delivery protocol, Real-time XML Delivery; and
- the addition of significant amounts of new content.
The new, user-friendly Dynamic Organization Charts now offer up to 12 levels of color coded, integrated departmental organization charts,
allowing the viewer to easily navigate through departments from top to bottom (and vice versa) and sideways
by level within a department, state, city or locality. Color coding allows the viewer to know exactly
where he or she is within an organization simply by referring to the color key located at the top of
every chart.
Real-time XML DeliveryTMallows customers on-demand access to Carroll's comprehensive databases, updated daily.
This unique capability uses the latest technology to provide computer-to-computer communications regardless
of platforms and environments, without special programming. Real-time XML DeliveryTM is the fourth addition to
Carroll's traditional print, interactive subscription website and CRM-friendly datasets.
While Carroll Publishing's prime feature is its new presentation, it has added significantly more data to
its federal level of government including: Program Assessment Ratings, information technology plans, capital
assets and strategic plans; plus additional data at all levels including expenditures, employment and
jurisdictional boundaries (CDPs).
